The trek starts from two villages – Raithal or Barsu. We recommend Raithal as the trek is more beautiful from this village. One needs at least 4 days from Dehradun to complete this trek. Dehradun is the nearest Airport and Railway station for this trek. Raithal is around 180 kms from Dehradun.

Best Time To Do?

The best time to trek to Dayara Bugyal is during the summer and autumn months, specifically from May to November. During this period, the weather is generally pleasant, with clear skies and moderate temperatures, making it ideal for trekking. The meadows of Dayara Bugyal are at their most beautiful during the summer months (May to June), when they are lush green and adorned with blooming wildflowers.

Autumn (September to November): also offers stunning views as the surrounding trees change color, creating a vibrant landscape. However, it’s essential to avoid the monsoon season (July to August) due to the risk of heavy rainfall, which can make the trails slippery and challenging to navigate.

During winter, adventurers flock to Dayara Bugyal to immerse themselves in the snowy wonderland. The landscape undergoes a mesmerizing transformation, adorned in pristine white snow, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a winter wonderland. Delicate snowflakes delicately cling to the pine trees, evoking a festive atmosphere akin to Christmas. It’s the perfect setting for snowball fights and the chance to experience the magic of snowfall, if luck is on your side. However, trekking in winter poses added challenges due to the snow, requiring thorough preparation to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
